E. Clare James
Emma is an artist specialising in the medium of textiles and mixed media. Her work explores the visual language of imagery, pattern, texture and text using recycled materials. Ideas are intelligently explored on a conceptual and spiritual level reflecting issues that can both affect and enhance our development. Having several years experience supporting survivors in recovery from domestic abuse, homelessness and mental health in both social work and support roles Emma currently uses her artistic skills to facilitate workshops supporting people to use art therapeutically. Initially freelancing in textiles, graduating from Heriot Watt University in 1999, Emma's work has evolved over her life's journey and includes installation, landscape and collage and has been described as both 'spiritual' and 'unique'. |
